A transferable business is a healthy business
Most founders track output metrics – revenue, growth, profitability – that measure how a business produces. They don’t show whether it’s structurally sound. A profitable business and a healthy business are not the same. Transferability – the ability of a business to operate, perform and grow without its founder at the helm – is a more reliable measure of health than any standard KPI set.
